  6. Make ready 4-5 garlic pod (finely chopped)
  7. Make ready 4-5 green chili (slit)
  8. Prepare 2 eggs (scrambled)
  9. Prepare Spices:
  10. Take 2-3 tbsp cumin powder
  11. Prepare 2-3 tbsp coriander powder
  12. Make ready 2-3 tbsp red chili powder
  13. Get 2 tbsp garam masala powder (can use whole cloves/cinnamon/cardamom)
  14. Get 4-5 tbsp kasauri methi (dried fenugreek leaves)
  15. Make ready 1 tbsp methi (fenugreek)seeds
  16. Make ready 2tbsp butter
Steps to make Classic egg tadka:
  1. Pressure cook the lentil/daal with 2-3cups water.
  2. Put some oil in a pan and add in the methi seeds.Fry the onion/tomatoes/ginger/garlic/chillies along with methi seeds.Gradually add in the spice mix (cumin,coriander,garam masala) and sauté well till the oil separates.
  3. Add in the boiled lentils at this stage and stir well.Mix with the scrambled egg and garnish with kasauri methi leaves and a dollop of ghee/butter. The aromatic tadka ready to eat and goes well with naan/kulcha/parathaa.
