  11. Get 1/2 cup green peas (I took frozen)
  12. Take 1/2 cup cauliflower florets
  13. Prepare 1/4 cup beans chopped
  14. Make ready 3-4 tbsp roasted peanuts/ cashews
  15. Take 2-3 tbsp raisins
  16. Prepare 1 tsp salt or to taste
  17. Get 2 tsp sugar (optional)
  18. Make ready 1 Lemon (juice of one lemon)
  19. Make ready 3-4 tbsp chopped green coriander
Steps to make Chirer Pulao or Poha Pulao:
  1. In a colander wash the poha nicely with plenty of drinking water. Keep aside.
  2. Heat oil in a kadai, add the bay leave, cinnamon and cumin seeds. Let the cumin turn golden now add the chopped onion and green chilies. Mix. Add the turmeric and mix. Cook till onions turn light golden.
  3. Add all the chopped vegetables. Mix well. Cover and cook with vegetables are done. Add the raisins and the nuts.
  4. Add the soaked poha, salt, sugar, lemon juice and chopped green coriander. Toss it well.
  5. Check the seasonings and serve hot with masala chai.
